The committee will have the ultimate goal of ensuring:
- A joined up and effective casualty centred approach to response
- Effective joint training between organisations
- Effective communication between organisations
- Organisation wide knowledge of each agencies capabilities, resources and activities.
- Co-ordinated risk reduction activities
In order to accomplish this the group have agreed the following
- Assign a senior level sponsor from each organisation to ensure the group’s objectives are achieved
- Organise one multi-agency training event every 3 years (the next event will be organised by the Civil Contingencies Unit)
- Host a capabilities awareness day for tactical commanders from each organisation
- Hold at least one joint training event per year with another SAR organisation
- Hold one control room awareness event each year between all relevant organisations
